Once school was out, the days long and warm feeling definitely like summer, Aspen and ‘the boys’ came up for a visit. Instead of flying she decided to drive their ID 4 (all electric - I think she’s so brave!). Julian asked his friend, Cash, to come along as Elliot felt like staying behind in Fort Bragg and hanging out with his dad. So, Aspen, Julian, Cash and Rigby drove up and stayed with us for 10 days. What a fantastic adventure! The weather was perfect for outdoor activities and surprisingly we seemed to find enough of the right foods to keep us all happy and satisfied…!

An afternoon at the very challenging WildPlay in Colwood, Julian and Cash were so brave and skilled. I got a few photos from my Vantage on the ground…

Cash crossing the rope netting…yikes!

Julian taking off from one platform to the next…

Nearing the end of the ‘extreme’ level…

A visit to ‘Flying Squirrel’ - a warehouse full of trampolines!

Cash is getting the feel of the trampolines…

Julian making a basket!

Aspen’s such a good sport!

A trip to Victoria’s Chinatown and dimsum at Don Mee’s

….

Walking through FanTan Alley…

This was Cash’s first trip to Canada and he was so impressed with the money!

Canada Day! Downtown was super busy, lots of music, lots of food and a perfect day for ice cream!

Lots of celebrating, and no visit downtown would be complete without a photo in front of the Legislative Buildings!

An afternoon at Thetis lakes - a SUP lesson and tour around the lakes. The instructor was great offering lots of tips on handling the boards and guiding them out into the lakes.

Julian getting ready for this new challenge!

Love Aspen’s expression!

Getting more comfortable…

All up on their feet!

As they paddled around Upper Thetis, Jim and I walked the path circling the lake hoping to catch a glimpse of them…

Julian definitely has the hang of it…

Coming back to the main beach!

The water seemed pretty perfect…
Heading up the trail in the Sooke hills…

A beautiful day for a hike

Rigby had a great time (off lease!) exploring the Sooke hills with us

Our hike took us along an out water pipeline that once transported Victoria‘s water

Getting settled back into the car after our hike…

What could be better than stopping in at a local brewery for beers and floats?!
