2024 - Looking forward to the new year!

The holidays were quiet, the weather mild for welcoming in the new year. We awoke early on January 1st - as it turned out it was my day to walk ‘Mr. Happiness’, a lovely dog friend I’ve made over the past few months. I volunteer with a dog walking organization catering to dog owners who aren’t able to walk their dogs themselves for one reason or another…

As the month has progressed the weather has really changed and now into a very cold wintry trend with temperatures in the -9 range. Brrr! We’ve found ourselves less enthusiastic about venturing outdoors for too long or far from home. Spending more time indoors has actually given us an opportunity to work on travel plans for February. We’ll be heading to Central America to explore as many Mayan sites as we can manage.

In the meantime we’ll anticipate some milder weather here at home in Victoria venturing out into the forest as conditions allow.
